Dr. Murray Nelson grew up in Delavan, Wisconsin; did his undergraduate work at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin; and graduated from Northwestern University Dental School. Like so many Washingtonians, his move to Lakewood was initiated by service in the US Military. He spent a year at Ft. Lewis, and a year with the 1st Air Cavalry Division in Viet Nam. He is the remaining original member of the group of four dentists that formed Dental Health Associates in 1972. Dr. Nelson enjoys glass blowing, theater, boating, model railroading, and most of all, being a grandparent. As noted, Dr. Nelson attended Northwestern University dental school, graduating in 1969 with the honor of being nominated to membership in the national dental honor society - Omicron Kappa Upsilon-representing excellence in both academic and clinical studies among his classmates. He is currently a member of Pierce County Dental Society, Washington State Dental Society, The American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Nelson's 33 year association with Dental Health Associates has provided a most rewarding professional experience for him. He values highly the daily opportunity to associate with other quality-conscious dentists focused on clinical excellence and the benefits his patients derive from being part of the larger network. He continues to place strong emphasis on staying current with dental procedures and technology; and the practice is on the leading edge for patient safety and enviromental protection. He credits the very capable staff, second to none, for enhancing the patients' total dental health care experience.
Dr. Chris Stevens grew up in Utah. He attended Brigham Young University where he met and married his wife, Linda. They are the proud parents of 5 children and 5+ grandchildren. Dr. Stevens attended Northwestern University Dental School. In 1979 they moved to Lakewood and joined Dental Health Associates where Dr. Stevens has practiced for the last 26 years. Dr. Stevens comments that he loves being a dentist. "I enjoy working with a great staff and wonderful patients. Dr. Sean Jung grew up in Southern California and received his undergraduate degree at University of California, Los Angeles majoring in Biochemistry. Upon graduation from UCLA with honors, Dr. Jung went to University of Southern California, School of Dentistry to complete his study in dentistry. He had practiced in Southern California for a few years after his graduation and recently came to the State of Washington to join Dental Health Associates as the newest partner of the team. He is into outdoor activities, such as traveling and skiing, but can also be seen running and swimming at a local gym. When he is not out with his camera, which has gotten more serious than when he first started, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is currently a member of Pierce County Dental Society, Washington State Dental Society, American Dental Association, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. His goal is to provide the best, comfortable dental care to help his patients to achieve healthy and beautiful oral health, that enhances their quality of their lives. He will continually strive to understand his patient’s individual needs while upholding himself to the highest standards of integrity, morality and ethics.
Dr. Kevin Kim graduated from University of California at San Diego and received his D.D.S. from University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He also served in the Navy for five years. Dr. Kim visited Washington in his sophomore year of college and was impressed by the beauty of the state and its nice people. For those reasons he moved with his family to Washington State. He enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with his wife, Hanna and their two beautiful daughters, Erin and Janine. Dr. Kim strives to provide patient comfort and to educate his patients on all aspects of dentistry. He recognizes that each patient has individual needs and he excels at customizing a care plan addressing them personally. His main goal in dentistry is building trusted, valued relationships with his patients by providing personalized, comfortable, and outstanding care. He strives to expand his knowledge and skills by taking numerous continuing educaton courses, especially in dental implants and aesthetics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, and a fellow of International Congress of Oral Implantology and Misch Implant Institute.
